OptName is a help and consultation tool that lets you know the meaning of any name. Surprise your family and friends, colleagues ... even yourself.

OptName is presented in the form of a database with more than 3000 names. It is the best instrument to choose the names of your children, as you can filter and consult names according to country of origin, language, etc. You´ll find names to give and take. Its interface is very easy to use, and you can do searches or views smoothly and fluidly. The names of men and women are separated into different places, and all the lists appear in alphabetical order.

Each name comes with a summary of its main characteristics, and a small text with its description, translation into other languages, meaning and origins. You also have the chance to calculate and interpret the "Name number" a numerological computation that works to indicate the profile and the individual personality of each name.
